• Labuan Corporation was founded through the Labuan Corporation Act 2001 (Act 609)
• It was founded on the 1 July 2001 as a result of the merging of two main agencies; Labuan Development Authority and Labuan Municipal Council

• There are 62 government agencies in F.T. Labuan. The 3 most important agencies that administer, plan, implement, invigilate and identify administration and development of F.T. Labuan are Labuan Corporation (LC), Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA) and Public Works Department(PWD). Other supporting agencies include:
